Adult studio Evil Angel confirmed to AVN this morning that director/performer Justin Slayer has left the company roster.

"All of our directors own their own product and we encourage them to do whatever they feel is best to distribute their product to their fans," said publicist Karen Stagliano. "Justin has a lot of good ideas but he felt they weren't right for Evil Angel."

Stagliano said that Slayer's exit had been under discussion for some time and is unrelated to the company's current obscenity case.
Slayer's work for EA includes the ambitious feature Merc. Thedirector now plans to launch his own distribution house, Justin Slayer International. For details, stay tuned to AVN.com.
